R.W. Smith & Co. is pleased to announce free ServSafeŽ instruction and testing for foodservice employees throughout the State of California. Your certified trainer has over twenty years of foodservice experience, including hands-on restaurant operation. Your only cost will be $75 for a copy of the ServSafe Essentials training manual.

Our one-day seminar will focus on:

  • the need for food safety
  • the hazards that threaten food
  • the basics of a HACCP food safety system
    (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
  • the flow of food from purchasing through serving
  • maintaining sanitary facilities, including...
    • facilities design
    • choosing the right equipment
    • cleaning and sanitation
    • pest control

The seminar will conclude with National Restaurant Association ServSafeŽ testing. A passing score meets CRA/NRA Certification requirements for the State of California.
